Morag joined the practice in 2014 and then shortly after became head Veterinary Nurse. She manages the team very well (not an easy task) and enjoys a challenge. Morag enjoys being clinical coach to our veterinary nurse student and also has an interest in surgical nursing and nurse consultations. In her spare time she visits her family on Barra and looks after her cheeky chap Lachie the Jack Russell.
Sophie joined the practice in April 2016. She relocated from West Yorkshire where she trained and qualified in a small animal hospital. She has a great passion for veterinary nursing and loves all aspects of her role. She has a keen interest in weight management, theatre nursing and lab work. She also enjoys promoting the practice and attending marketing meetings. In her spare time she takes care of her three spoilt whippets; Tippi, Elih and Bella. She has settled in well and thoroughly enjoys life in the Scottish Highlands.
Nursing Assistant & Reception
Heather has worked for the practice for 13 years! She really is worth her weight in gold! She has a croft at home and is very knowledgeable about large animals. She is currently on maternity leave and we can't wait to have her back.
Natasha has worked for the practice for 5 years and thoroughly enjoys the hands on, busy, 'no two days are the same' environment. She enjoys caring for a variety of patients including large animals and wildlife. When not in work she spends most of her time helping out on her partner's croft; gathering sheep. She says she would much rather be riding her Icelandic horses and keeping her two goats out of trouble. She enjoys nothing more than being with her beloved Collie, Kola - the two go everywhere together!
Jenny is our newest team member and started working for Crown in September 2016. She has settled in extremely well and has a real passion for good customer service and going the extra mile. Jenny loves all animals and has an interest in canine behaviour and nutrition. At home she has an adorable Dachshund called Cookie and two cats Dynamo and Chubster.
Student Veterinary Nurse
Zoe is our Veterinary Nurse Student. She attends North Highland College in Thurso on block release. She is Morag's student and the pair can be seen doing a variety of practical work together and completing NPL deadlines. She is very keen to learn and is looking forward to being a Registered Veterinary Nurse. Out of work she takes care of her handsome horse Henry.
Nursing Assistant & Reception
Kayleigh has worked for the practice for 4 years and has lots of experience on reception. She managed the front of house very well and enjoys helping out in the back as and when needed. The welfare of the animals is something Kayleigh feels strongly about and has an interest in canine behaviour. At home Kayleigh has an Alaskan Malamute called Conan and a German Shepherd called Diesel. In her spare time she enjoys a night in the hot tub with a glass of champagne!
Sharon joined the team in 2011. She works upstairs in the office most of the time but often helps out on reception. There are not many problems Sharon can't solve; she's very experienced dealing with insurance and enjoys working her way through mountains of paperwork! Her background lies in printing so she has a keen eye for perfection. Outside of work Sharon enjoys spending time with her three dogs Sassi, Del and Bonnie. She also has a grumpy cat called Chancer.
